Zoomerang was a steel shuttle roller coaster at Alabama Adventure & Splash Adventure that operated from 2005 to 2011. A standard “Boomerang” model manufactured by Vekoma, the ride stood 116.5 feet tall and reached speeds of 47 mph while putting riders through three inversions—a cobra roll and a vertical loop—both forward and backward. The attraction had a history of international relocation, having previously operated at World Expo Park and Wonderland Sydney in Australia before its move to Alabama. Following the park’s transition to a water-park-only focus under different management in 2012, the coaster was dismantled and eventually sold to Wonderla in India, where it was renamed Recoil.
