Aftershock is a steel roller coaster at the Alaska State Fairgrounds in Palmer, recognized as the first permanent roller coaster installation in the state of Alaska and the northernmost coaster on the American continents. Manufactured by the Italian company Interpark, the ride is a “Super Cyclon” model that stands 32.8 feet tall, reaches a top speed of 35 mph, and features a 1,148-foot track layout with a 540-degree helix. Owned and operated by Golden Wheel Amusements, the attraction previously operated under different names in Alabama and Missouri before its relocation to Alaska in 2021. The ride utilizes three trains, each carrying eight passengers, and maintains a minimum height requirement of 51 inches for riders.
