Phoenix Rising

Opening on July 21, 2024, Phoenix Rising is the newest addition to the Pantopia section of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and the first coaster in the park’s history to feature on-board audio. Manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M), this steel suspended family coaster stands 80 feet tall and reaches a top speed of 44 mph over 1,831 feet of track. Replacing the park’s former SandSerpent wild mouse and several carnival games, the ride features floorless trains that swing beneath the track, simulating the flight of a phoenix soaring through the Serengeti. It is the park’s tenth roller coaster and serves as a high-tech “bridge” attraction, offering enough intensity for thrill-seekers while maintaining a 42-inch height requirement that makes it accessible for younger adventurers.
