Yankee Cannonball is a classic wooden out-and-back roller coaster that originally opened at Lakewood Park in 1930 before being relocated to Canobie Lake in 1936. Designed by Herbert Schmeck of the Philadelphia Toboggan Company, the ride stands 65 feet tall and reaches speeds of 35 mph over 2,000 feet of track. Recognized as an ACE Coaster Landmark, it remains the park’s most iconic attraction, utilizing traditional single-position lap bar restraints and requiring a minimum height of 48 inches.
