Disney's Hollywood Studios
Established 1989
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is navigating a significant period of redevelopment in 2026, centered on the permanent closure of the former Muppets Courtyard to make way for Monstropolis, a new Monsters, Inc. land featuring the resort’s first suspended roller coaster. Today, March 1, 2026, is the final operating day for Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, which is closing tomorrow for a complete re-theme into a Muppets-inspired attraction featuring Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, scheduled to reopen in Summer 2026. The park’s current lineup is led by Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, where Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is being updated with a new “Mandalorian and Grogu” mission, and Toy Story Land, featuring Slinky Dog Dash. Additionally, the Animation Courtyard is being reimagined as “The Walt Disney Studios,” which will include the debut of the Magic of Disney Animation interactive center and a new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse stage show later this summer.
