Half Pipe

Riders board a unique spinning surfboard-style vehicle that straddles a wide, U-shaped track. As the linear induction motors kick in, the car accelerates rapidly back and forth, climbing the vertical spikes on either side. The sensation of weightlessness is intensified by the free-spinning seats, which rotate based on the weight distribution of the passengers. Looking straight down at the ground from the peak of a vertical tower provides a brief moment of suspension before the car dives back through the center. This rhythmic shuttling motion creates a disorienting blend of lateral forces and floating airtime.
