Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is an enclosed “OmniCoaster” at EPCOT that features the first reverse launch in a Disney theme park. Manufactured by Vekoma, the ride uses a patented system that allows the individual cars to rotate 360 degrees on a vertical axis, directing riders toward specific show scenes and massive digital screens while moving along the 5,577-foot track. The attraction is housed within one of the largest show buildings in the world, which is approximately 140 feet tall and reuses the former Universe of Energy pavilion as its “Wonders of Xandar” entrance and pre-show area. With a top speed of 60 mph and a 42-inch height requirement, the experience is synchronized to one of six randomized songs from the “Awesome Mix” playlist, including “September,” “Conga,” and “Everybody Wants to Rule the World.”
