Wildcat
Length
2,331 ft
Wildcat (1923) was the first roller coaster at Hersheypark to bear the name, operating from 1923 until 1945. Designed by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company and engineer Herbert Schmeck, the wooden attraction stood 76 feet tall and featured a traditional out-and-back layout with a series of steep drops. It was a centerpiece of the park’s early 20th-century development until it was eventually dismantled at the end of the 1945 season to make way for the construction of the Comet.
