Located at the front of the Action Zone, Invertigo is a high-intensity shuttle coaster that holds the distinction of being the only operating “Invertigo” model in North America. Opening in 1999 as Face/Off (inspired by the Paramount film), the ride is famous for its unique seating configuration where riders sit face-to-face, allowing you to watch your friends’ reactions in real-time. The experience begins as the train is pulled backward up a 138-foot vertical lift hill before being released to rocket through the station at 55 mph. Riders navigate a triple-inversion sequence—consisting of a massive cobra roll and a vertical loop—before ascending a second spike and repeating the entire course in reverse. Now sporting a vibrant aqua and royal blue color scheme, Invertigo remains a standout for its “5-G” forces and the disorienting sensation of being flipped upside down six times in a single minute.
