Located in the Coney Mall section, the Queen City Stunt Coaster is a high-speed, family-friendly launch coaster that celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2025 with a vibrant re-theme honoring Cincinnati. The ride is famous for its rapid-fire acceleration, utilizing a Linear Induction Motor (LIM) to catapult riders from 0 to 40 mph in just three seconds into a triple-helix “parking garage.” Throughout its history, the coaster has had three distinct identities: it originally opened on May 20, 2005, as The Italian Job: Stunt Track (2005–2007), featuring special effects and cars modeled after MINI Coopers from the 2003 film. Following the park’s sale to Cedar Fair, it was renamed Backlot Stunt Coaster (2008–2024), adopting a more generic movie-set theme. In its current 2025 iteration, the ride has been reimagined to feature local landmarks, road signs, and a finale that sends riders through a model of Cincinnati’s legendary abandoned subway system.
