Snoopy's Soap Box Racers

Opening on May 24, 2024, as the centerpiece of the new Camp Snoopy expansion, Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers is the park’s first family boomerang coaster. This “shuttle” style attraction, manufactured by Vekoma, takes the classic concept of a soap box derby and adds a high-speed twist by racing riders both forward and backward over the same 672-foot course. The adventure begins with a backward ascent up a 75-foot “booster wheel” lift hill before the train is released, reaching speeds of 37 mph as it zips through the camp-themed area. After navigating a series of banked turns and a “finish line” spike, the train stalls and reverses, traversing the entire layout again in reverse. With its bright tan track and brown supports, it serves as a high-energy “bridge” coaster, offering a more thrilling experience than the nearby kiddie rides while remaining accessible for families and first-time riders.
