Opening on October 15, 2011, Coastersaurus is a classic wooden “pink-knuckle” coaster located in the Land of Adventure section of LEGOLAND® Florida Resort. Originally built by Martin & Vleminckx and operating as Triple Hurricane during the Cypress Gardens era, the ride was re-themed with life-sized LEGO brick dinosaurs for the park’s grand opening. Standing 40 feet tall and reaching a top speed of 32 mph, the 1,365-foot “out-and-back” layout is designed specifically for younger thrill-seekers, offering a smooth yet spirited experience with several airtime hills. In 2013, the ride received a significant upgrade with the addition of Mini-llennium Flyer trains from Great Coasters International (GCI), which enhanced comfort and allowed for a more fluid navigation of the wooden track as it weaves through the prehistoric jungle.
