Dragon

Opening on October 15, 2011, The Dragon is the signature indoor/outdoor steel coaster at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort, located within the LEGO® Kingdoms section. Manufactured by Vekoma, the attraction is a unique “hybrid” experience that begins as a slow-moving dark ride through a medieval LEGO castle—complete with a giant red dragon, a wizard, and humorous scenes of royal life—before transitioning into a traditional family roller coaster. Standing 43 feet tall and reaching a top speed of 29 mph, the ride was actually adapted from an existing coaster called Okeechobee Rampage from the original Cypress Gardens park; during the conversion to LEGOLAND, it was extended with the elaborate indoor show section and a longer 1,496-foot track.
