Magic Kingdom

Established 1971

Magic Kingdom is currently anchored by its six themed lands—Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland—while undergoing significant infrastructure work for future expansions. In Frontierland, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is operational and frequently utilizes a virtual queue, while Big Thunder Mountain Railroad remains closed for a comprehensive, year-long refurbishment that includes a total track replacement and a new Rainbow Caverns opening scene. This work coincides with early construction preparations for the upcoming Villains Land and the Cars-themed expansion, which will eventually repurpose the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island areas. In Tomorrowland, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is also undergoing a major overhaul to install handheld laser blasters and new digital targets, and the park has recently introduced TRON Lightcycle / Run as its highest-speed thrill with a 48-inch height requirement.
