Manta is SeaWorld Orlando’s signature flying roller coaster, a Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M) attraction that simulates the graceful yet powerful movement of a giant ray. Located near the park entrance, the experience begins with an immersive walk-through aquarium featuring over 3,000 marine animals and 10 unique habitats, allowing even non-riders to connect with the theme. Once boarded, the ride vehicles pivot 90 degrees to a face-down, prone position, sending riders up a 140-foot lift hill before plunging into a 113-foot drop. The 3,359-foot track includes four inversions—most notably a massive 98-foot pretzel loop that subjects riders to intense G-forces—and a signature “wing dip” where the train appears to skim the surface of a lagoon, triggering synchronized water jets. With its combination of smooth “flight” mechanics and world-class animal exhibits, Manta remains a benchmark for themed thrill rides in Florida.
