Six Flags America
Established 1974
Six Flags America (Upper Marlboro, Maryland) officially ceased all operations on November 2, 2025. The newly formed Six Flags Entertainment Corporation determined that the park was a “non-core asset” and chose to sunset the property entirely. As of early 2026, the 500-acre site is being marketed for redevelopment, and several of its major rides (like Batwing and Superman) are likely to be relocated to other parks in the chain or sold for parts.
