Lightnin’ Loops consisted of two interlocking steel shuttle tracks that utilized a catapult launch system to propel trains toward a vertical loop. After navigating the inversion, the train ascended a steep incline until it lost momentum and traveled backward through the circuit. This configuration allowed passengers to experience the forces of the loop twice, once in each direction, before the braking system engaged at the station. The elevated structure utilized a lattice of support columns to hold the track and launch platforms high above the park floor.
