Cyclone was a world-famous wooden roller coaster designed by William Cobb that operated from 1983 until 2014. Standing 112 feet tall, the ride was heavily inspired by the original Coney Island Cyclone but featured a more compact, high-intensity layout with sharp turns and steep drops across 3,600 feet of track. Known for its “aggressive” ride experience, the attraction was a favorite among enthusiasts for over 30 years before it was permanently closed to be transformed into the steel-hybrid Wicked Cyclone.
