Giant Dip
Giant Dip was the first roller coaster ever built at the property, operating from 1912 until approximately 1920. Commissioned by park owner Henry J. Perkins, the wooden attraction was a significant milestone in the facility’s transformation from a picnic grove into a formal amusement park. It featured a series of large drops designed to provide a thrilling “dip” sensation for early 20th-century guests before being replaced by the larger and faster Lightning coaster.
