Hiccup’s Wing Gliders is a premier family launch coaster located in the How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk land at Universal Epic Universe. Manufactured by Intamin, the ride invites “aspiring dragon riders” to test Hiccup’s latest winged invention, which prematurely launches at speeds up to 45 mph after a playful mishap involving Toothless. The 3,020-foot track features two separate launches and a series of swooping turns, dives, and “water-skimming” maneuvers that provide a sense of flight without any inversions. With a accessible height requirement of 40 inches, it serves as a “mini-Hagrid’s” experience, even incorporating a brief backward motion and detailed dark-ride scenes that bring the Viking village of Berk to life.
