Mine-Cart Madness

Mine-Cart Madness is the headline coaster of the Donkey Kong Country expansion within Super Nintendo World at Universal Epic Universe. This “boom coaster” uses a revolutionary ride system where the actual track is hidden beneath the scenery, allowing the mine-cart vehicles to perform “impossible” stunts from the video games, such as visibly leaping over gaps in the track and splashing over water. The experience is a high-energy, shaky, and intentionally “rickety” adventure that begins with a barrel-cannon launch and features iconic characters like Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong. While it is marketed as a family-friendly thrill with a 40-inch height requirement, its low hourly capacity and frequent technical downtime have made it one of the most difficult “rope drop” targets in the park since its 2025 debut.
