Stardust Racers is the signature “dueling” roller coaster of Universal Epic Universe and the crown jewel of the park’s central Celestial Park area. Manufactured by Mack Rides, this massive attraction features two distinct tracks—Photon (yellow) and Pulsar (green)—that span 5,000 feet each, making it the longest coaster experience in Universal’s history. The ride is defined by its high-speed LSM launches (reaching 62 mph) and the “Celestial Spin,” a world-first maneuver where the two trains perform an inverted crisscross over one another at a height of 133 feet. Designed to look like comets streaking across the sky at night, the trains feature onboard audio and integrated lighting while the track remains dark, creating a “cosmic” visual effect. Though it has a height requirement of 48 inches and utilizes comfortable lap-bar restraints similar to VelociCoaster, its relentless airtime and synchronized dueling elements have already made it a top contender for the best coaster in Florida.
