Universal Studios Florida

Established 1990

Universal Studios Florida is the “OG” park of the Orlando resort, a movie-themed destination that has shifted from a “behind-the-scenes” studio tour into a collection of highly immersive, story-driven lands. Today in 2026, the park is in a significant state of transition; while it recently said goodbye to the iconic Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit to make way for the upcoming Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift coaster (opening in 2027), it has gained fresh energy with the 2024 opening of DreamWorks Land and the debut of Wicked: The Experience. The park’s heavy hitters remain The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley, anchored by the multi-dimensional Escape from Gringotts, and the fan-favorite Revenge of the Mummy indoor coaster. As Epic Universe has drawn the massive “new park” crowds, Universal Studios Florida now serves as a vital piece of the broader resort experience, especially with 2026’s updated park-to-park tickets that allow you to take the Hogwarts Express directly between the classic movie magic here and the newer adventures across the property.
