Cannonball Run was a wooden out-and-back roller coaster at Waterville USA in Gulf Shores, Alabama, that operated from 1995 until its permanent closure in September 2018. Designed by Custom Coasters International (CCI), the ride stood 65 feet tall, reached a top speed of 43 mph, and featured a 1,700-foot track that famously extended over the park’s parking lot. The attraction utilized a single five-car train manufactured by Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters (PTC) and required a minimum height of 42 inches to ride. Following its dismantling, the coaster was scrapped to make room for future park expansions, ending its 23-year tenure as the park’s anchor amusement attraction.
